Warrington business owners invited to free HR breakfast seminar

Business owners looking to achieve growth in 2013 can get expert advice on managing their employees at a free event in Warrington later this month.
The breakfast seminar, entitled ‘Top HR tips for growing businesses’, is being hosted by Warrington-based ClearSky HR and will take place at the De Vere Village Hotel, Centre Park, on Thursday, 31st January.
Juliet Byrne, legal advisor at ClearSky HR and a specialist in employment law, will deliver a presentation offering advice on a range of HR issues. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions afterwards. Topics will include:
- How to create robust and legally compliant employment documentation
- How to minimise and manage sickness absence
- How to avoid problems with annual leave and holiday pay
- How to handle an underperforming member of staff
Juliet said: “The seminar will offer owners and directors at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Warrington area some practical guidance on thorny HR and employment issues.
“Business owners are naturally focused on growing their business, and often don’t have the time, resources or expertise to deal with complex HR issues.
“However, with the average cost of defending a tribunal claim standing at £4,000, we want to offer some pointers to ensure Warrington-based firms don’t fall foul of employment law.”

The seminar starts at 8am with registration and refreshments, and will finish at 10am.
